About Andre Privateer
As CEO of Ascendant, Andre was responsible for bringing innovative hospitality tech and consumer travel products to Pakistan and the growing economies of the Middle East, Africa, and Central Asia.
Recognized by the HSMAI in 2015, Andre Privateer is considered an expert in hospitality sales, marketing, and online distribution. He launched successful start-up operations in Europe, the Middle East, and Asia for HotelRooms.com; conducted hundreds of hotel inspections in 40 countries for leading luxury hospitality brands; and worked with owners, investors, and hospitality groups on high-profile hotel and resort development projects in Paris, London, Venice, Rome, Croatia, Singapore, Thailand, the Middle East, and Caribbean.
Having taught postgraduate seminars on Cultural Tourism at the Sorbonne, Andre is concerned with sustainable tourism and its impact on rural and economic development.
